Go Fetch!

Last night, out of the blue Dimples made a request.

'I want a pet', she said.

'A pet.' I repeated.

'Yes. We can go to the Zoo, and get a pet for me. Like a Lion or a Monkey. I will bring it home and when Giggles is sleeping I can play Fetch with my pet.'

I wonder if this has anything to do with me stopping her from playing Go Fetch with her little sister.

And who gets a pet from the Zoo? Not sure about Monkeys, but I have a feeling Lions will be offended.

    Aaaack about the lion! However my husband has always wanted a monkey for a pet, I just tell him why don't we just start having kids instead? Same thing right?

    And come on, just let blue dimples play fetch with giggles, I did it to my little sister and look how great we turned out!

    Wait...nevermind.

    Good grief! My aunt had a monkey and those suckers bite and do creative things with their caca. Just. say. no!

    My daughter wants to adopt a snow leopard. Maybe our pets could have a playdate.

    Well, the zoo close to us has a turtle exhibit. You could try playing that off...

    Turtles stink though.

    BUT they don't eat you or throw feces at you. So that's a plus.

    My daughted wanted to bring home an elephant. sheesh, imagine all the peanuts we'd go through? Still it's no lion. *L*

    My son keeps asking us for a blue snapping turtle. I got him a stuffed one, after a long and involved search, and he said, "Mom, it doesn't snap! That's not real. I want a real blue snapping turtle." (Well, I want pink hair. Ain't gonna happen.)

    It's fun to think about having a lion or tiger or monkey. A lot more fun to think about it than to really have one!
